Sha’Carri Richardson, vận động viên điền kinh người Mỹ và đương kim vô địch thế giới ở cự ly 100m, mới đây đã bị bắt vì hành hung bạn trai tại sân bay quốc tế Seattle-Tacoma, Washington, vào ngày 27-7. Sự việc này được công bố vào ngày 2-8 và đã thu hút sự chú ý của công chúng.

Theo thông tin chi tiết, Richardson và bạn trai của cô, Coleman, đã xảy ra một cuộc cãi vã dẫn đến xô xát tại sân bay. Nữ vận động viên người Mỹ bị cáo buộc đã xô đẩy Coleman nhiều lần, khiến anh này ngã vào một cây cột. Hình ảnh từ camera an ninh cũng cho thấy Coleman đã cố gắng bỏ đi nhưng Richardson tiếp tục có hành vi va chạm và ném một cặp tai nghe về phía anh.

Mặc dù Coleman từ chối buộc tội và không muốn được xem là nạn nhân, Richardson vẫn bị bắt và bị buộc tội hành hung cấp độ 4 về bạo lực gia đình. Cô đã bị giam giữ tại cơ sở cải tạo phía nam ở Des Moines, Washington và được thả vào ngày hôm sau.
